What Warren Buffett Thinks 2006A first hand report from the Berkshire Hathaway AGMby Jonathan Davis Format: pdf file Pages: 30 Published: 16th May 2006 RRP: £10.00 Please note: This is a PDF file which will be emailed to you |
This report provides a first hand account of proceedings at the annual meeting of Berkshire Hathaway, held in Omaha, Nebraska over the weekend of May 6-7th. It is based on verbatim notes taken by a leading British professional investor who has been a shareholder in Berkshire Hathaway and followed Warren Buffett's fortunes for many years.
The report summarises the main themes of the marathon Q and A session with Buffett and his longstanding business partner Charlie Munger that have become a regular feature of Berkshire Hathaway's AGMs. This year's event was attended by 24,000 shareholders, equivalent to the attendance at a medium-sized soccer match in Britain.
Some brief observations from the editor, Jonathan Davis, are included at the end of the report.
| Jonathan Davis has been analysing and writing about financial markets for 25 years. After graduating from Cambridge, his early career was spent a a business journalist on national newspapers, including The Sunday Telegraph, The Times and The Economist.
Following a year at MIT's Sloan School of Management, where he wrote a thesis on the investment philosophy of Warren Buffett, he set up his own specialist publishing and consultancy business. He has been writing a popular column about investment in The Independent since 1995. His books include Money Makers, a study of successful professional investors, and a primer on the game of bridge. He is chairman of Investor Publishing, which specialises in publishing high quality material on money and investment. |
