Harriman House buys the rights to Nicolas Sarkozy's Temoignage

Harriman House has secured the UK English Language rights to Temoignage by Nicolas Sarkozy from XO Editions in France. The book, by the conservative Interior Minister and front-runner in the race to become the next French president, has been topping the charts in France in recent months. It has notched up sales of over 300,000 copies and became the surprise hit of the summer.

Harriman's Managing Director, Myles Hunt said:

"We are very excited to be able to be publishing an English language edition of Temoignage and think that with Nicolas Sarkozy's increasing profile the book has great potential in the UK. If, as many people think, Nicolas Sarkozy is elected the next French President - a lot of people are going to be interested in his political opinions. This book fits very well into our expanding range of political titles and we are delighted to be able to bring it to a wider audience."

Work has started already on the translation, with Harriman planning to publish before the end of the year.
