In this last week I've been reading this book written by Gary Ford. The book explains in detail what steps we need to continue to develop our own system: choice of assets, strategy design using the "Strategy Wizard (a tool to develop systems that requires no programming knowledge), backtesting , optimization of parameters, testing robustness, and finally actual operational.
What I liked the book is its organization and explanations: the book starts from zero for people who have no expertise in trading systems, and as you go along is explaining all the important points to consider for recommended develop your system in a very detailed, with very good explanations (many catches graphics) and very easy to understand. While not an advanced programming book, I found a good job that can serve as a guide for those who want to begin to develop strategies in NinjaTrader.
